Painting background<\/h1>\n

Edvard Munch (December 12, 1863 \u2013 January 23, 1944) was a world-renowned Norwegian painter. His paintings are characterized by strong subjectivity and sad and depressive emotions. Picasso and Matisse have absorbed their artistic nourishment, and some artists from Germany and France have also been inspired by their works. His intense and evocative approach to psychological discomfort had a major influence on the growth of German Expressionism in the early 20th century. Munch was a painter of many talents and a unique style.
