Norwegian painter from the 19th to the 20th century_Edvard Munch (born December 12, 1863 \u2013 January 23, 1944) was a Norwegian expressionist painter, printmaker and printmaker and pioneer of modern expressionist painting. Edvard Munch's paintings are characterized by strong subjectivity and a sad, depressing mood. His intense and evocative approach to psychological discomfort had a major influence on the growth of German Expressionism in the early 20th century. In this painting we see farmers busy at Akeley Hayfield during the haymaking season. The man is on the field and is placed in the center of the frame. Firmly and energetically, he plunged his scythe into the tall, lush grass, with composition and content centered on the human body and movement. The composition is made up of circular shapes and circular brush strokes that emphasize the theme, and we are presented with an image of grass cut and curved by a scythe. From the circular shape of the blade we are led further, across the line in the freshly cut field, to the right, until the line disappears behind the man's body. Our view is interrupted by the tree-like figure floating above on the right, before gliding across the horizon where humans and land meet sky. The tilt of the clouds takes us to the lower left, to the already green grass that is about to fall on the edge of the scythe, the circular movement emphasizes the repetitive movements of people, and the rhythm of the sickle runs through the green grass, showing the destiny of nature. Fresh grass will soon grow from the cut. This work expresses the harmonious interaction between man and nature.
