Mother's Day in Spain is celebrated every year on the first Sunday in May and will take place soon on May 5, 2024. Spanish mothers are honored on that date because it is associated with the Virgin Mary, for being the month dedicated to the mother of Jesus. In Spain it is a very special day, where all children honor their mothers and, it is tradition, to give gifts as a sign of affection and love, although an expensive gift is not necessary, since by showing affection with many kisses and hugs, that will be enough.
